North of England International Repatriation Service is your local specialist offering repatriation to any destination worldwide to families here in the UK.

We understand the difficulties families face when a relative dies abroad. We will simplify the process, managing all repatriation documentation and transportation arrangements on your behalf. The first thing to do when repatriation is required is to gather the details we will require you to provide us. North of England International Repatriation Service will then take care of all further aspects of the repatriation process until the deceased has reached their final destination. The official documents we need for the deceased are:

  • Death certificate x2
  • Passport
  • ID Card

We will then make application for an Out of England Certificate from the Local Coroner and a Free from Infection Certificate from the Hospital where the death has occurred. The deceased can then be brought into our care and we will arrange for full Embalming (which is a requirement for the transportation).

The Flight can then be booked once we have all the relevant documents (please be aware that some countries require a visit by us to the Embassy/Consulate of that country to produce the documents before flights can be confirmed. Some of these documents may need to be legalised first through the Foreign Office), an additional charge will need to be made for this service and is covered below in additional Charges.

We will also require you to provide contact information for your Funeral Directors in the return country including their full name, address, phone number and email address.

Please telephone us on 0113 3227135 anytime, day or night for the immediate attention.
